ABSTRACT
This study aims at identifying the partial and simultaneous effect of leadership and organizational culture towards work performance of the staff at the Destistry Academy of Karya Adi Husada Mataram and to identify which among the two has more dominant effect.
This is an associative causal study whose data is collected through interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The population of the research is all 35 staff at the Dentistry Academy. The study employs the census method using qualitative and quantitative data which is analyzed using the multiple regression technique.
The study reveals that leadership and organizational culture significantly affect the staff work performance both partially and simultaneously. This is shown by the findings of the T-test that, for leadership variable, the T-cal of 9.926 is greater than T-tab of 2.042 with the significance level of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. as for the organizational culture, T-cal (2.185) is greater than T-tab (2.042) with the significance level of 0.036, which is smaller than 0.05. Simultaneously, for both variables, it is found that the F-cal of 145.775 is greater than the F-tab of 3.32 with the significance level of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. Hence, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the leadership and organizational culture significantly affect the work performance of the staff at the Dentistry Academy of Karya Adi Husada Mataram. Among the two variable, the leadership variable is found to be more dominant than the organizational culture. This is shown by the fact that beta (β) standard coefficient for leadership variable is 0.811 (81.10%). Accordingly, it is suggested that the management of the Dentristry Academy of Karya Adi Husada Mataram observe the efforts to improve leadership pattern and organizational culture in order to achieve the required work performance of the staff.
