ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study to determine the Labor Force Participation Rate ( LFPR ) of the province of West Nusa Tenggara . The methodology used in preparing the 2011-2013 Regional Workforce Planning is to use the method of counting inventory and labor requirements by the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration No.PER.24/MEN/XII/2008 . Where the employment involves estimating a number of parameters of statistical analysis. The results showed that female LFPR developments tend to be lower than their male counterparts. LFPR of women influenced the development of their multiple roles in the household and their commitment to be active in the labor market. Women tend to be out of the labor market when the time of marriage, childbirth and child rearing and then back to the world of work when the kids are great. Besides the opening of educational opportunities for women in various fields will be followed by the increasing participation of women in the workforce. LFPR maximum SD educated tend to be higher than the LFPR educated junior high. This indicates that the population of primary school age who are not working Workforce Planning West Nusa Tenggara Province 2011-2013 35 Department of Manpower and Transmigration, West Nusa Tenggara able to attend school tend to go into the world of work, thereby increasing the number of labor force. They tried to find a job and work because it does not have any special skills that can be offered when seeking employment. However, the existence of government programs 9-year compulsory elementary education LFPR able to reduce the original 70.61 percent in 2008 fell to 67.17 percent in 2010.
